A: As a start up program, we are required to go through a process in order to gain accreditation. We are currently working with limitlessasr.org in order to prepare our course for accreditation. Our program will be as prepared as possible during this time in order for that process to go smoothly and quickly. In order to apply for accreditation, either 500 students or 1 year in business is required.
Okay, What happens to the students who are purchasing FOCA in the mean time when the program does become accredited?
FOCA becomes a pre-requisite for the certification exam. The exam we have currently in place is being created by a company who specializes in preparing courses for accreditation, so it will accurately test your knowledge of the course material. However, certification exam becomes an entirely separate exam that students who wish to become officially certified will need to go through (similar to any other credentialed program
examinations. Nursing students graduate with their BSN, but are still required to take the NCLEX, for example). Students who purchase now will not have to re-do anything in order to take the accredited certification exam. You will be notified and supported by FOCA when this process occurs.
A: You can, however, the course is created around those who want to complete the majority / all of their work online (communication strategies via email, digital program creation, etc.). The information needed to be knowledgeable and help your clients is all here, but the personal training strategies necessary to guide someone in person would be in a specific personal-training course. We recommend obtaining both, if at all possible.
A: Our FOCA students are committed to learning, becoming better coaches, and changing their clients lives for the better. When you really dig in, go through the course material, apply yourself, and use all of the tools at your disposal, we have full faith that you will be an absolutely AMAZING coach that knows HOW to help your client reach their fitness goals. However, if you go through the course material and haven’t found any success within 30 days, we will give you a full refund. We will, ask you to show us that you’ve done the course work and have really made an effort. We are confident in our course material and know that those who are committed WILL be those coaches who everyone wants to refer their friends to.
A: Yes you can change your email in our system. Please Click HERE, and you go to the email update web page.
A: In order to download the certificate in Safari follow these steps.
1- Go to Safari’s menu and click Preferences. See the image below.
2- Go to ‘File download location’ and set the download location as ‘Ask for each download.’
3- Go to the ‘My Courses’ page inside of "Fitness Online Coaching Academy" and click ‘Expland All'.
4 - Scroll down the certificate you want to print and click on the certificate icon.
5 - When the download location and Save As box pop up, delete the HTML at the end of the certificate name and choose the location where you would like the certificate to save.
Done! Your certificate can now be found wherever you chose to download it.
A: Your username is the email address. If you have multiple email addresses, determine which email address has been receiving your course emails and use that email address to log in.
If you still can’t figure out your username, click on “Contact Us’ and send customer service an email.
A: No problem. Just go to "Fitness Online Coaching Academy" and click ‘Log In’. Once you are on the Login page and click on ‘Lost Password’.
Once you click on ‘Lost Password’ it will lead you to a page that asks for your Username. Enter your Username (the email you use to log into the site) and click the ‘Get New Password’ button.
Next, go to your email. There you will find an email inviting you to reset your password. Click the link in that email and change your password.
A: You can see your progress in two places:
- You can log into the course and look at the sidebar titled ‘Progress Bar’.
- You can also go to ‘My Courses’ under the ‘Members’ menu header. Scroll to the middle of the page and click on ‘Expand All’. This will show you the progress for all of your courses.
A: Badges are the digital achievements awarded when you complete a lesson or course. Lesson badges are found in ‘My Achievements’ under the ‘Members’ header.
Course badges are awarded when you complete a course. The course badges are digital badges that can be shared on your social platforms, linked in your LinkedIn Certifications, added to your email signature and/or displayed on your website.
These badges are issued through Credly. Instructions for how to display and share these badges will be sent to your email when you complete your course.
A: Credly is a digital credential service provider that allows the world to recognize achievement through verifying, sharing, and managing digital credentials and badges.
A: To download your digital badge, log into Credly and follow the steps below. If you haven't created your free account at https://info.credly.com/, first follow the instructions under: “What is Credly and how do I setup my free Credly.com account?”
- Go to https://info.credly.com/ and log in.
- Click on the "Earned" tab.
- Go to the badge you want to share.
- Hover your mouse over the image until the "Manage" button appears
- Above ‘Manage’ you will see an icon that looks like a less than sign ‘＜’, click on this ‘Share’ icon.
- A pop-up window will appear with sharing options, one-by-one follow the instructions on how to share and display your badge in various mediums.
A: To download your certificate, log into "Fitness Online Coaching Academy" and follow the steps below:
- Select ‘My Courses’ from the ‘Members’ drop-down menu.
- Scroll to the middle of the page and click on ‘Expand All’. This will show you the progress for all of your courses.
- Scroll down the certificate you want to print.
- Click on the certificate icon.
